Pennant: Drunk - again
Liverpool's Jermaine Pennant was involved in a drunken bust-up at a pizza takeaway on Saturday night. Jermaine and another footballer (yet to be named) were seen at a bar in Bournemouth, Dorset where they boozed it up before heading over to the pizza takeaway. Pennant was said to be slurring his words and could barely stand up as he waved his hands around telling everyone to 'calm down'. A witness told The Sun, “There was lots of pushing and shoving and swearing, and Jermaine was in the middle of it. His mate, who I think was also a footballer, was arrested and a WPC put him in a headlock and wrestled him to the ground. His attitude stank and he wasn’t keen on being arrested.”
Jermaine was previously convicted and jailed in 2005 for drunk-driving where he initially identified himself to cops as then-teammate Ashley Cole. We wonder who he tried to pose as this weekend. We're guessing he stuck with the Cole moniker but this time tried really, really hard to keep a straight face.
EDIT: The 'yet-be-named' footballer is actually Jerome Thomas. He was arrested for assault and released 8 hours later without charge.
