I SMELL A TRANSFER!: POLDY'S ON HIS WAY OVER
Definitely a bit of stating the obvious here but Lukas Podolski is going to be leaving Bayern Munich this summer. With both Toni and Klose lining up for the same spot in the Bayern's starting XI, Podolski spent most of last season sat on the bench.
Poldy speaks:
"For me what matters at the moment is the Euros. Afterwards I will think about everything else. But if I can't see the possibility of playing under Jurgen Klinsmann, you have to ponder (the future). I am not a footballer to sit on the bench."
So far, Lukas has confirmed that both Spurs and Juventus have both been in touch and he's been linked to Man City, Man United and Arsenal.
Other transfer bits and pieces:
- Makelele's going to take his old-man self to PSG. Good.
- Xabi Alonso is still not sure where he's going. The general assumption is that Rafa's going to be offloading him to make room in the budget for Gareth Barry.
- Benitez is also trying to sign
Spain, yes all of themDavid Silva. - The other Ferdinand brother (not the one off looking scary in Israel -- although Anton's over there as well) is looking set for a switch to Villa which will reunite him with dance partner, Reo-Coker. Please, no more bizarro videos, boys.
