ONE FOR THE VAULT: DISTRACTED

...by themselves.

When you're this pretty a half-naked lady sitting on the sidelines isn't going to take away from from your self-appreciation, right?

While we're on the Torres tip, is anyone going to Free Kick Masters today? A free kick competition in Houston at Reliant Stadium apparently. When the event was first announced, it looked like it was going to be pretty serious but now that half the headliners have dropped out, it's looking very sparse.

Fernando Torres was meant to make it out but wasn't released by his club. Our guess is that he's off somewhere still drunk -- still celebrating, still conga-ing.

Seriously, why are Spain still together? Shouldn't they be holidaying or pre-season training? Don't get me wrong, I love these boys together, they're like my Dream Team. But they need to get back to their clubs. Euro's are over, boys. Go home. Either that or come do whatever you're doing by me.
I went....it wasn't bad....I spent about $40 altogether including parking and gas...walked down to floor level before the event started ( no security = no stars?)....had a great seat (instead of the nose-bleed seat I paid for)....some folks really got taken - $750 + Ticketmaster charge plus parking & gas - I felt for one guy who complained the people next to him got their tickets FREE (apparently Fiesta-local supermarket- where given tickets away the day of..)...but, it was fun....exciting...I have a new appreciation for GOALKEEPERs...David James won (tied) with another keeper the name escapes me....but a good way to wrap up the 4th of July weekend....BBQ,Friends and Football....Could life be any better...!!!
CLB - This photo is from a zillion years ago when Euro was still happening, actually. Liverpool have their first pre-season friendly next Saturday so I'd assume they've already started pre-season training stuff.

robbie96 - I'd heard about the free tickets. Apparently, Dynamo was giving away free ticket vouchers which were being thrown away by fans. Kind of sad. $40 bucks for the whole thing -- parking, gas -- sounds like a mighty good deal though.
